I also noticed quite a few compl...Interesting read. I also noticed quite a few complaints from people who didn't receive a gift from their husbands on Mother's Day. In our family, we agree that Mother's (and Father's) Day are about experience - not gifts. So we all went to breakfast, played in the playground, and gardened. It was lovely! And my husband had helped the kids make some art for my Mother's Day scrapbook, which was really meaningful and will be lovely to look at when they're all grown up.<br /><br />I loved the sentiment in this article - that it is up to us to decide what will make us happy, and do what we need to do to get it (usually: ask for it). And yes, sometimes it's about lowering our standards when it comes to stuff that just isn't that important to us.
